Troop Camping
The Troop camps every month.
Where We Go
Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan or Illinois. We search for new camping experiences each year that will allow the Scouts to experience a range of adventures. Each campout is centered around a theme like hiking, fishing, canoeing, climbing, ect. We generally travel 2 to 4 hours away. We leave on Friday night and return Sunday morning.
What To Bring
A former Scoutmaster made a great list of what to bring. What to bring on a campout
Troop 72 policy is that Scouts must wear their uniforms while being transported to and from camping trips.
What About Food
Each camping Patrol plans its own food menus, cooks as a patrol and then cleans up afterward. Menus are generally planned during Patrol meetings.
The Grubmaster plans the meal and does most of the cooking. See the Grubmaster page for more detail.
